Kay Ann Rice

Kay Ann Rice, 76, of Oregon, OH, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021. She was born July 19, 1945 in Toledo, OH to Olen and Edith (Bausman) Tucker. Kay attended Summerfield High School. Kay’s lifelong pastime was pool, having successfully competed on a national championship level. She enjoyed traveling, especially to North Carolina to visit family. Kay will be remembered most for her kind and caring love for her family and friends.

Kay leaves behind her children, Mary Tuller, Brenda Dudash, Lisa Szyperski, and Dr. James (Abbie) Sancrant; her grandchildren, Amanda, Rachel, David, Michael, Glen, Heather, Margaret, Ryan, Harry, Xander, and Elliott; her 14 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Chuck Bruckner and Sharon Rice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her son-in-law, Chuck; her siblings, Irene Layman, Patricia Bundy, and Carl Bruckner; and her parents.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Kay will be laid to rest at North Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
