Lonnie Wells, age 74 went peacefully home to his heavenly father on Sunday, January 31st, 2021 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother uncle and friend to many. Lonnie was in construction most of his life and also worked for Lil Sheba’s. Lonnie’s great joys were his 3 children Shannon Wells, Lowell Wells and Lonnie Wells III. He was the best grandfather to his 14 grandchildren and 25 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 2 grandchildren Casey Jo Wells and Cody Lee Braden Wells. Lonnie will lay to rest next to his grandchild, Casey Jo Wells in Jerry City, OH.

Lonnie was born in 1946 in Norton, VA and grew up with 13 siblings of which 4 are currently surviving. Thelma Fowler, Avery Wells, Annette Zientek and Gaynell Dennis. Lonnie will be greatly missed.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, February 4th from 11:00 a.m. to1:00 p.m. at Freck Funeral Chapel located 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, OH, 43616. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Jerry City Cemetery.
