Marguerite L. Alder

Marguerite L. Alder, 87, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Mercy Health-St Vincent Medical Center.   She was born on June 6, 1934 in Sylvania, Ohio.  Marguerite was a graduate of Sylvania High School.  She worked as a waitress for many years at Abdes Steakhouse.  Marguerite was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness and believed in the Resurrection.  She loved spending time with her family. Marguerite had a talent for decorating and home interior design.  She was a kid at heart, enjoying crafts, drawing, coloring, and playing 10,000.  She will be dearly missed.

Marguerite is survived by her children, Dianna Zervos, Deborah (Ron) Collins, Deana (Edward) Ramsey, Robert (Sandra) Alder, Tina (Albert Jr) Brown and Robert (Lisa) Born; 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Thomas, Donna Young, and Betsy Miller; and her best friend, Pearl Fritz.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Duward and Marie Harroun; husband, Walter Robert “Bob”; grandson, Dustin Ramsey; great-grandson, Stratton Zervos II; sisters, Sharon Hannes, Rose Rau, Jeanette Miller, and Velma Smith; stepsister, Judy; son-in-law, Stratton Zervos; and nephew, Kenneth Alder.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 3:00-8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.  Private burial will be held at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park 4210 W. Central Ave. Toledo, OH.  All guests, please wear a mask when attending to protect yourself and others.
