Marilyn Jean Wurster

Marilyn Jean Wurster, 83, Curtice, OH, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Bay Park Community Hospital. She was born June 21, 1938 to Jesse and Anna Knott.

She attended Libbey High School and went on to graduate from Whitmer High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Virgil, and together they raised their family. She worked at Hot Dog John’s and later at Meinke Marina. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed travelling, fishing, camping, playing Yahtzee and shopping.

Marilyn leaves behind her children, Virgil, Vicky, Kevin (Kim), and Kim (Tom); her grandchildren, Amy, Robbie, Lisa, April, Chris, Sean, Desirae, Brittany and Derek and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; her granddaughter, Nicole; her daughter-in-law, Vickie; and her parents.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral chapel on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Jerusalem Township Fire Department.
