Michael Troy Reever

Michael Troy Reever, age 57, of Toledo, OH, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at Hospice of NWO after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Fairfax, VA to Barry and Barbara (Kozina) Reever.

He was a 1983 graduate of Macomber High School’s Aero Space Program.   After High School, Michael enlisted in the US Army where he rose to the rank of Sergeant.   He was a proud veteran of the 82nd Airborne as well as the 2nd Infantry (Korea) and the 1st Infantry Mechanized.   In 1991, he was part of Operation Desert Storm where he saw action in Iraq and Kuwait as an M1 Abrams Tank Maintainer in 4th Battalion, 37th Armor.  He finished his military career as a member of the Kansas Army National Guard.

Michael enjoyed spending time at Nettle Lake, and was an avid Nascar and KC Chiefs fan. 

Michael leaves behind his children, Michael Lee and Melissa Jo Reever; step-daughter, Amy Davis; siblings, Michelle (Tod) Phillips, Amy (Roy) Flores, Brianne (Bryan) Goetz, Crystal (Jeremy) Gleason, and Brandon Henry; father, Barry; step-mother, Lydia; step-father, William Henry; the mother of his children, Esmeralda Madrigal; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelly, and his mother, Barbara (Reever) Henry.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 6:00 p.m. with military funeral honors. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and the VA Fisher House in Ann Arbor, MI.
