Richard Allen Schultz

Richard Allen Schultz, age 65, of Walbridge, OH, left his earthly home to join our savior in heaven on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. He was surrounded by his family at home. Rick was born June 9, 1958 in Toledo, OH, to Paul Wesley and Mary Joan (Scott) Schultz. Rick was a 1977 graduate of Waite High School and later worked as a painter/estimator for many years. He enjoyed golf, watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, and was an avid OSU, Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. He enjoyed spending the winters in Florida, especially spending time on Coquina Beach. His greatest joy in life was his family.

Left to cherish the memory of Rick is his loving wife of 35 years, Aimee (Allen) Schultz; his children, Tiffany (Wesley) Shetler, Nicole (Lukas Gardner) Schultz, Benjamin (Shannon Russell) Schultz, Donaimee (Gary Jr.) Racz; his grandchildren, Jakob, Eric Jr., Dezarae, Gary III, Rylee, Jaxon, Lexi, Charlee, Benjamin Jr., Ava, Marissa, (Mia Rose) and Josiah; his 3 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Dianna (Bob) Yenrick, Paul Schultz, Bobby (Brandy) Schultz; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends both in Ohio and Florida. Much loved and special friends Barb “Mom” and Mike “Brother” Durnwald, Go Bucks! He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Hope Community Church, 5650 Starr Extension, in Oregon, OH. The family will receive guests beginning at 12:00 p.m. and the memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel, Oregon, OH. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the family.
