Rita Grivanos

Rita M. Grivanos, 79, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on December 28, 2020 at Orchard Villa.  She was born on December 31, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio to Harold and Mae Baker.  Rita worked for Oregon City Schools as a bus driver until 2013 where she was cherished throughout the community for her dedication and kindness towards her students.  She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, knitting, and caring for her plants and Milo her cat. Rita's house was the gathering point for the family on Sundays and holidays when her grandchildren were younger, and this is where many family traditions and unforgettable memories were made and will be carried on. She will be dearly missed.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Greg) Vermett; sons, Perry Grivanos and Tim Grivanos; daughter-in-law, Sue Grivanos; grandchildren, Jason and Kyle Coutcher, Casey (Alex) Spellacy, Tiger (Emily) Grivanos, Spencer Grivanos, Alex (Chris) Allen, Cori and Megan Grivanos; great-grandchildren, Kennedi and Carter Coutcher, Jaxon and Lucas Spellacy, and Pericles Grivanos III.  Rita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Perry; son, Phillip; and sisters, Linda, Joyce, Gladys.

Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 South Wynn Road in Oregon on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 2-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
