Obituary
Robert William Hoobler age 72 of Rossford passed away at home on Monday, July 31, 2023. Rob was born to Earl Robert and Shirley Ann (Hier) Hoobler on November 11, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio. He was a 1968 graduate of Waite High School and went on to serve our country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy. After serving, Rob earned his associate's degree from The Ohio State University. He worked as a barber at The Barber Shop in Point Place for the last 20 years. Rob loved trains especially steam engines, taking trips, and riding his motorcycle.
Rob is survived by his wife and best friend Lesta; daughters Bailey (Curtis) and Lyndse (Scott); 5 grandchildren; step-children Rodney Angela and Syrena; 8 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great grandchild; sister Sheryl Ulinski and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Edward Ulinski.
Per Rob’s wishes, there was a cremation. Memorial contributions are appreciated to family or a local charity of choice.
