Robert J. Kudelka

Robert J. Kudelka age 85 of Oregon passed away on March 11, 2023, at Majestic of Toledo. Robert was born to Joseph and Irene (Nagy) Kudelka on February 12, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Waite High School in 1957, served our country in the U.S. Army, and earned his associate's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toledo. Robert married the love of his life Susan Knierim on July 11, 1969, at Blessed Sacrament Church and together they raised 2 daughters. He worked for Jeep until his retirement.

Robert was perfectly happy outside golfing, fishing, gardening, coming inside for a perfect martini, catching an episode of M.A.S.H., or watching his favorite movies “It’s A Wonderful Life” or “Grumpy Old Men”. He loved his granddaughters who affectionately called him “Poppy”. Robert was very proud of his Hungarian Heritage; his favorite dishes were cabbage rolls or paprikash, and he loved visiting Tony Packo’s. In Robert’s family, he was a peacekeeper and everyone enjoyed his sense of humor.

Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years Susan; daughters Kristin (Charles “Chip”) Smith and Melissa Kudelka; and granddaughters Morgan and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S.
