Robert Laub

Robert A. Laub, age 68, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.  He was born on June 30, 1954 in Dickinson, North Dakota to Robert and Viola Laub.  After graduating from Lake High School in 1972, Bob entered the Ironworker Apprenticeship Program.  He became a journeyman ironworker, working many years, before retiring in 2007. Bob enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and reading.  Bob was a fun and helpful person.  He was always willing to help someone in need.  He volunteered at the V.F.W. in Walbridge, helping cook for various events.  Bob was a member of the old farts club in Walbridge.  He will be dearly missed.

Bob is survived by his brother, Jerome (Kim) Laub; sister, Jocelyn (Charles) Harpel; nieces and nephews, Samantha (Kenny) Katschke, Nick (Mackenzie) Laub, and Amanda (Rudy) Hanzel; great-nephews, Wyatt, Barrett, Kole, Krew, and Rudy; and his dogs, Juno, and Georgie.  A special thanks to his friend, Mary Dempsey.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Cathy.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 9-11:00 a.m. at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon.   A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m.  Memorial contributions can be made to Life Connections of Ohio.
