Robert (Beef) Varga Jr., 67, of Genoa, Ohio and formerly of Curtice, OH, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022. He was born November 26, 1954 in Toledo, OH to Robert Sr. and Bonnie Varga. Robert was a graduate of Clay High School and attended college studying agriculture. Robert farmed the family farm for years as well as being a proud member of the Local 85 Boilermakers. Robert met his wife and love of his life, Doreen, in 2001 and they married in 2011.

Robert lived a full life in his retirement. He enjoyed spending time on the land and the lake. His hobbies included bowling, golfing and drag racing, tinkering in the shop and fishing with his sons. Robert enjoyed working on his cars with his children and spending weekends at the Norwalk racing track. Above all this he loved spending time with his family. Robert had unending patience with his grandchildren, instilling the same values and love of the outdoors and farming into his grandchildren that he did with his children.

Robert leaves behind his wife, Doreen Varga; his sister, Jeanie (Bill) Free; his son, Chris (Rachel) Varga; son, Andrew (Sarah) Varga; daughter, Lauren Varga; Grandson, Tristan (Angelica) Varga; Granddaughter, Trinity Varga; Granddaughter, Teagan Varga; Grandson, Andrew Varga Jr.; Great Granddaughter, Aria Varga; Great Granddaughter, Brinley Varga; Stepchildren, Racheal (Tom Baker) Losie, Jaime (Robert) McDougall, Jeffrey (Katie) Cluckey and Grandchildren Makayla and Logan Cluckey as well as many other family members and close friends that Robert also considered family. Robert was proceeded in death by his father, Robert Varga Sr. and mother Bonnie Varga.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for the showing. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to The American Heart Association.
