Ruby A. Hammons

Ruby A. Hammons, 63, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022.  She was born on April 21, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio to Luther and Margaret Hammons.  Ruby worked at Erie Foods Grocery Store for 30 years.  She loved spending time with her family.  Ruby enjoyed cooking and feeding everyone in the neighborhood.  She will be dearly missed.

Ruby is survived by her daughters, Angel (Don “Chubb”) Hammons, and Sara (Alex) Evans; grandchildren, Shayla Dunbar and Louis Kiss; sisters, Flora (Elmer) Hill, Evelyn “Fay” Davis, Paul (Wendy) Hammons, Linda “Punky” (Zip) Henry, Jody Fleenor, and Lynn (Lisa) Barker; and her special friend, Moe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Lonnie, James “Peewee”, and Luther “Duke” Hammons; and her sister, Lillian Frazier.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 4:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
