Scott John Sanderson

Scott John Sanderson, 64, of Whitehouse passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Scott was born to James E. and Doris (Ritzman) Sanderson on October 10, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Macomber High School. Scott worked in maintenance for the Dana Corporation and later air ground equipment for Bax Global at the Toledo Express Airport. He loved old cars and took his ’67 Mustang and ’78 LTD to many area car shows. Scott was active with the Northwest Ohio Street Machines Association. Everyone enjoyed his very dry sense of humor. Scott loved his nieces and nephews much more when they were older.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents James Sr. and Doris Sanderson; brother Bruce Sanderson; great-niece Elena Yakumithis and great-nephew Frasier Burt. He is survived by his brother James Jr. (Judy) Sanderson; sister Cindy (Sanderson) Bailey; sister-in-law Connie Sanderson; 8 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.    

A memorial gathering and dinner will be held at the Hope Community Church 5650 Starr Ext, Oregon, OH on May 14th from 12 noon until the dinner at 1 p.m. A private burial will be held at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the American Diabetes Association or Life Connections of Ohio.
