Steven Alan Sweet

            Steven A. Sweet, age 60, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021.  He was born on May 22, 1961 in Toledo, Ohio to Mildred and Paul Sweet.  Steve was a 1980 graduate of Waite High School and worked as a cement truck driver for many years.  Steve enjoyed riding his Harley and was always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends.  He always knew how to tell a good joke and once he got started he couldn’t stop!  He was a loving father to his girls and loved being a grandpa.

            Steve is survived by his daughters, Ashley (David Martin) Sweet, and Taylor (Robert Chestnutwood) Sweet; grandchildren, Zander, Brayden, and Caylee; mother, Mildred Sweet; brothers, Gregory (Melinda) Sweet, Scott Sweet, and Gary Sweet, and nieces, Julie, Amy, Nikki, and Alisha.  He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Sweet.

 A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 2-7:00 p.m. where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
