Valvia "Sam" Hartwig

Valvia “Sam” Mae Hartwig, 51, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021.  At a young age, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  After many many years of battling the disease, she may now rest.  Sam was born on May 3, 1970 in Oregon, Ohio to Norman and Sandra Cluckey.  Sam enjoyed spending time with her family and the many pets she had over the years.

Sam leaves behind her husband, Doug; her son Austin; her siblings, Mike (Stacie) Cluckey, Nancy (Joe) Coker, and Chris (Craig) Hollstein; as well as many nieces and nephews and her dog, Buddy.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rueben and Orlena Wright, and Valvia Cluckey; her parents, Norman and Sandra Cluckey; and several aunts and uncles.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 10-12:00 p.m. where services will be held at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Limestone Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
