Verna M. Nagy

Verna M. Nagy, age 77 of Oregon, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. She graduated from Clay High School and Mercy Nursing School, where she received her certificate to practice as an LPN. She worked at Little Sisters, Genoa Care Center, and then retired from the Luther Home of Mercy.
Verna was a woman of simple taste. If you couldn’t find her at home with her beloved cat, you’d find her playing bingo. She also liked heading to the casino in her free time. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a big part of her life, and she cherished every moment she got to spend with them.
Verna is survived by her children Michael Sean (Nenita) Nagy, and Kimberly Brantley; sister Roxie Gwin; grandchildren Brandon, Sean (Brooke), and Dollyann; and great-grandchildren Tristan and Ella. She is preceded in death by her parents Otis and Ethel (Hecke) Hart, her sisters Carol and Shirley and her husband Michael.
Verna’s family will greet friends and family on Monday, December 28, 2020, from 4 – 7 PM. A limited attendance service will be held at 7 PM but will be live-streamed on the Freck Funeral Chapel Facebook page. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
