Virgin M. Brown

Virgin M. Brown, age 88, of Northwood, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022.  She was born in Northwood, Ohio on June 21, 1934 to Sarah and Wesley Stinehelfer.  Virgin was a 1952 graduate of Waite High School.  She married her husband, Sherman Brown Sr. and they started their family, raising ten children.  Virgin later worked as a typesetter for Rubber Stamp Shop Plus, retiring after ten years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid camper.  She spent 48 years at Sunny’s Campground in Wauseon, Ohio where she made many friends.

Virgin is survived by her children, Jane Brown, Sue Brown, Joseph (Terrie) Brown, Patti (Bill Baker) Roderick, Nancy Brown, and Marion Brown; daughter-in-law, Janet Brown; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she loved like her own.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sherman Brown Sr., son, Sherman Brown Jr, daughters, Virgin Ann Brown, and Sarah Arthur; granddaughter, Erin McClain and her brothers, Orva (Virginia) Stinehelfer, Clarence (Carmen) Stinehelfer, and Floyd Stinehelfer. 

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
