Walter "Zip" William Henry

Walter “Zip” W. Henry, age 66, of Toledo, OH, passed away at Mercy St. Charles Hospital on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Zip was born to Bud Henry and Charlotte Downey on February 20, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio. After school, he served in the United States Navy. Zip worked for Hans Hansen for many years until his retirement. He also installed pools for Imperial Pools. Zip was always willing to help those in need. His love for his family was tremendous and never-ending.

Zip is survived by his wife, Linda (Hammons) Henry; children, Christina (Wayne) Wahl, Paul Hammons (Angela Rose), and Brian Garcia (Erica Quisno); 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Sue (Bob) Dingman, Hattie Helland, Jim Downey, Tammy (Scott) Rainey, Sue (Gary) Page, LeRoy (Julie) Walter, Peggy (Mike) Nedbalski and Jack (Crystal) Henry. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mark Henry and Glenda Huffman.

Arrangements are entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel, Oregon, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at the Sportsman’s Club, 1420 Woodville Road, Millburty, OH, on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the family.
