William Momenee Obituary

William M. Momenee, 82, of Port Clinton, Ohio formerly of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Edgewood Manor.  He was born at home on December 10, 1938 in Momeneetown, Ohio to Delbert and Mary “Bea” (Cousino) Momenee.  William was a graduate of Clay High School and served in the United States Army at Fort Hood, Texas and was honorably discharged on December 6, 1963.  He married Jean McCann on October 10, 1964 and they were divorced in 1982.  William owned various businesses over the years including, Bill’s Carry Out, Collins Park Restaurant and New Craig Inn & Bar.  He also worked as a boilermaker, Toledo Shipyards and retired from Bartlett Nuclear Power Company in 2013.

 

Bill is survived by his children, William Momenee Jr., Julie (Andrew) Rahn, and Lisa (Robert) Draves; grandchildren, William and Robert Momenee, Zachary and Lucas Rahn, Corinne (Daniel) Iova, Jacob (Aleja) Draves, and Jennelle Churchill; great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Braelynn, and Ariel Momenee, Keeli and Beckett Momenee, Eliana and Declan Iova, and Isla Churchill and his sisters-in-law, LuAnne Momenee and Joyce Momenee.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Marian Berryman, Joseph Momenee, and James Momenee and brother-in-law, Glenn Berryman.

 

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 3-7:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be held on Saturday in the funeral home at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Stein Hospice.  The family would like to thank the team members of Edgewood Manor’s Harbor Village Memory Care.
