William Stokes Obituary

William “Bill” Stokes, age 72, formerly of Galveston, Texas passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at his brothers home in Oregon, Ohio. He was born on January 2, 1951 in Toledo, Ohio to Dennis and Naomi Stokes. William worked as a commercial fisherman for many years. He mainly fished on shrimp boats, off the Gulf of Mexico.

William is survived by his daughter, Heather (Adam) Williamson; brother, James Stokes; sister, Patricia Miley; his grandchildren, Paige Critchley, Jesse Critchley, and Cody Critchley; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Miller; brother, Richard Stokes; and sister-in-law, Patricia Stokes.
