Bryan BJ Johnson

Bryan L. Johnson, 60, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Advance Healthcare Center surrounded by his family.  He was born on February 19, 1956 in Toledo to Robert Johnson and Beatrice Ervin.  Bryan was a 1974 graduate of Clay High School.  He worked for Conrail Railroad for 17 years and most recently NSS Enterprises.    

            Bryan was an avid outdoorsman and athlete.  He could always be found fishing or hunting.  He was known by many as a local expert.  Bryan enjoyed playing softball, bowling and corn hole.  He was also a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan.  He was a member of the Sylvania Moose Lodge and Cooley Canal Yacht Club.  He will be dearly missed.

Bryan is survived by his son, Levi (Laura) Johnson; grandchildren, Aubree and Averi; brothers, Fred (Annie) Johnson and Mike Johnson; sister, Patty (Matt) Smithers; half-siblings, Jerry Shepherd, Bobby Shepherd, Larry Johnson, Sandra Hensen and Ruth Pullen; nieces and nephews, Cameron, Chelsey, Heather, Brandon, James, Nicole, Rod, Matt, Marci and Tom.  He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Elijah and half-brothers, Bill and Rex.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 2-7 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m.   Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  A special thanks to the Sylvania Moose Lodge for the benefit they held for Bryan and to the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their wonderful care.
