Funerals are very diffacult. But after I left I started thinking about the good memories. I thought about the time me Jonny, Pizza, Donny Cole, Jim Smith, and several others were down at the river swinging on a rope under the I75 bridge. We were not suposto be down there but we were. Donny got the rope and swong out but he didn't quite make it back to the shore of the river. He swong out and back, each time with less energy until he eventually was just hanging there. Man he hanging there for what seemed like an hour. Eventually he lost his grip and fell into the river. Now it was cold out so we had coats and boots on. With all these cloths on he couldn't swim. So now Donny's drowning. And we are all jumping around yelling "swim Donny!". But Donny is drowning. Now Jim is the oldest so he knows that since he is the oldest he will catch the most hell if Donny don't make it. In a panic Jim throws his coat and shirt off and he dropped his pants, but in order to speed up the process he tries to pull his pants over his shoes but the boots are to big. The more he pulls the tighter the pants are on the boots. Eventually it's critical; Donny is about done and we are all freeking out. So Jim suddenly just jumps in the water with his boots over his pants. Now we have Donny climbing on Jim with his pants over his boots and they are both drowning. We are all screaming and watching our friends drown when suddenly someone appeared with a long stick. We put the stick out there and Jim grabbed it. We pulled them both in and they are both laying there on this slab of concrete, puking and gasping. Everyone is emotional and at the same time relieved. Everything is going to be alright! That was my thought until I looked down this dirt path to see aunt Nancy' stomping her way twords us. That stone face look of anger on her face and a switch in her hand. Everyone else noticed her at about the same time so we all take off because we knew what time it is. Jim and Donny couldn't run they were just laying there exhausted. Aunt Nancy was switching their asses and crying, I have told you kids.... Jim and Donny exhausted couldn't do nothing but take it. Them were the days when you didn't have just one mom. Any one of our aunt's or uncles would jump your ass if you were messing up. Hahaha, I loved her, and I have many good memories of her. I choose to think about the good.
