Wanda A. "Nana" (Sharp) Mahorney

     Wanda Mahorney, 84, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 4, 1932 in Port Royal, KY to Henry and Ruby ( Braily) Sharp. Wanda was a loving wife of 46 years to Perry Mahorney, Jr. and he preceded her in death in 1995. Wanda loved caring for children and was affectionately called “Nana” by those close to her. She enjoyed being outside in her garden and sewing.

    Wanda is survived by her children, Danny Mahorney, Glenn Mahorney, Ruby (Steve) Nadeau, Fannie (Butch) Wood, Debbie (Lawson) Moore, Earl (Pam) Mahorney, Diane (Joseph) Springer, Brenda (Mike) Eckerman, Tina (David) Schell and Evelyn (Mike) Veres; 41 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, John Wayne “Porky” Mahorney; granddaughter, Sue Smith and great-grandsons, Baby Steve and Randy.

     Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 2-8 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at North Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
