Chester Norden

Chester H. Norden, age 87, of Millbury, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.  He was born on November 25, 1928 in Clay Twp. Ohio to Carl and Elma Norden.  Chester was a 1946 graduate of Genoa High School and served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War.  He married his wife, Ethel on August 1, 1953.  Chester worked at various places over the years, retiring from Teledyne in 1993 where he worked as a security administrator.  He was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church and volunteered for 18 ½ years at Maumee Bay State Park in the Nature Center.

            Chester is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ethel; daughters, Denise Norden and Diane (Scott) Ousky; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jonathon Ousky and his brothers, Carl (Penny) Norden and Donald (Ann) Norden.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Ronald Charles Norden and brother, Alvin Norden.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 10-1 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m.   Burial will follow at First St. John’s Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or First St. John Lutheran Church.
