Edward I. Rutledge

     Edward Rutledge, 70, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital. He was born in Toledo on September 6, 1945 to Elgin and Rose (Schassberger) Rutledge. In 1963, Butch graduated from Macomber High School and served our country in the U.S. Air Force, during Vietnam. For over 27 years, he worked as an operator for Libbey Glass. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, bowling and fishing.

     Butch is survived by his loving wife, Doris; sons, Neil and Matthew; and granddaughters, Christine, Jacqueline and Isabella. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Sidney Rutledge.

     A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Freck Funeral Chapel from 11 – 12 p.m. where services will begin at Noon.  Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
