Hamida (Mashi) Samuel

Hamida Samuel, 65, of West Jefferson, OH passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015. She was born on December 5, 1949 in Kharian, Pakistan to Iqbal and Naziran (Lala) Mashi. Hamida was a very active person knitting, cooking gardening, birding and listening to religious music and spending time with her children and grandchildren were only a few of her interests. Above all was her devotion to her lord and family. Her family recalled how much she loved to read the Bible and the strong bonds to her roots.  

            She is survived by her children, Manuel (Saima Manuel) Philip, Fehmida (Jon) Kuhlow, Ayla (Jonathan Rhodes) Philip, Daniel (Sidra) Philip, Shehla (Guy) Ellis; grandchildren, Jonathan, Genesis, Samuel, Jennifer, Jeremiah, Jacob, Isiaha and Darrel. She is also survived by 5 siblings. Hamida is preceded in  death by her husband, Samuel Philip; parents and 3 siblings.

            Hamida’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Orchard Villa in Oregon, Loving Care Hospice in London, OH, Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Aged in Oregon, OH for all the support and kind care.

Arrangements are being handled by the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. Services will be private. Contributions in Hamida name can be made to the A.L.S. Foundation.
