To Ruth and the Family of Jack Nissen:
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on Jack's passing. I'm sorry that I could not share my thoughts directly with you during the visitation as we were out of town.
Coach Nissen was tough, but fair with his players at Bowsher High School during the period I played JVs in 1963 - 1965. I will always fondly remember him and his alter ego, Coach Jim Ray, as they tried to turn us neophytes into real basketball players.
May God be with you all during this time of great sorrow.

Mr. Nissan was principal at Fassett when I was president of the student council there. I got to work with him closely and thoroughly enjoyed his leadership and dedication to the welfare of the students. What a great resource for young student leaders. He was a soft but strong leader for us.

We are so sorry to hear the passing of A Great man,Coach, and Educator. I often enjoyed seeing him at Clay Events and Laughing with him about past school days ..we will miss him.

Our whole family is truly saddened by Jack's passing. Our families grew up together and Jack was always there in sharing some great memories like camping, waterskiing, fishing and making homemade ice cream as well as the many tailgate parties at BGSU, Miami and Case Western football games. I'm sure Mom & Dad are there in heaven welcoming him with one of Mom's pies. We'll miss you Jack!

God bless . What a great human being. I was at junior high when he was my principal . I can't say enough about what a positive influence he was on my life as a young person. Prayers for his family and friends.
