William G. Woodward

William G. Woodward, 80, of Swanton, OH departed this life on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Swanton Valley Care Center. He was born in Chicago, IL on January 29, 1937 to George and Helen (Hurd) Woodward and was a graduate of Thornton Township High School. Bill was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Corporal. He had a successful sales career with several companies.  Bills most rewarding job was spending his “retirement” years at The Landings Racquet Club in Sarasota, FL. He enjoyed attending rock concerts, particularly Neil Diamond. Wherever Bill went he made friends and was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

When Bill arrived at Heaven’s door he was greeted by his parents; step-father, George Wayne; siblings, George and Mary; former wife, Judy McLaughlin and dog, Tobi. Left to cherish his special memories are his children, Bill (Carla Osellame) McLaughlin, Jennifer (Jonathan) Przybylski and Wendy Grice; grandchildren, Jessica, Matt, Dylan (Kimberlee), Max, Logan and Alexis; two great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Arabella), Conrad (Jodi), Jack (Barbara); friend, Jerry and former wife, Jean, both who were great comfort near his passing. He was also survived by numerous extended family and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation.
